'2020 In The Presence of Black Art'

This USA TODAY news article is an explanation of the historical, intellectual, spiritual, educational, and magical value of Black African American Fine Arts...The inspiration and motivation for why I continue my journey as an visual artist. ~ Shurvon Haynes, The Fine Arts Visionary! Information about my new fine arts exhibit starting in February 2020 - October 2020!

'2020 IN THE PRESENCE OF BLACK ART'

Being in the presence of Black Art is a magical, spiritual and historical experience. Black Art is a visual interpretation of the African Diaspora Legacy as told by the creative people who are the descendants of our enslaved African ancestors.

We speak their names and their spirit lives through our soul as we 'Lift Our Voices' to sing, dance, paint and write about our place in this world. We are the change we have been waiting for, we are the creative visionary's that dazzle the Global Universe allowing others to see the Power of Black Art.

The "2020 In The Presence of Black Art" exhibit is inspired by the natural creativity of our African ancestors, Resourceful Black Americans, the Harlem Renaissance, Afrocentricism, the Civil Rights Movement and our current Millennial Wakanda Reality.

This exhibit will encourage us to learn resilience from the past, optimism to live in the present and preparation for the future of our "back2BLACK" African American Community. It is an opportunity to GIVE BACK to the Soul of Blackness that birthed me into a Fine Arts Visionary.

"As a Black African American visual artists there are many different types of obstacles to conquer while living our best life. We have to continuously rebuild our strength and stand firm in our faith everyday in an effort to believe in our creative vision. Therefore it is very important for us to uplift and encourage each other as artists because we BeDazzle the Whole Fine Arts World!!!" ~Shurvon Shaynlicia, The Fine Arts Visionary

God is Good!!!

Thank-you God, for this blessed day that you have made, may you forever be praised and glorified. This is a day of praise and thanksgiving unto you, for all that you have done and will continue to do in the universe. As a Black African-American Women I appreciate the life, strength and energy you have placed in your people to live by faith and walk in love. It is only by your power that we can accomplish the purpose and plan that you have already prepared for us.
You oh Lord will protect us from all hurt, harm and danger. When the enemies  come in like a flood you said to lift up a standard against him in Jesus name. Therefore, on this day we declare that we are blessed by God to live, laugh and love because we believe in miracles everyday!!!
Lord God in the Name of Jesus we Thank-You for safety and wisdom while traveling during the holidays, cold weather snow season. Increased strength, health and wellness. Clear creative vision and abundant blessings. Thankfulness and gratitude as we continue to live our best life while moving forward to the next level of our future progress toward our goals, ASHE~AMEN!!!

Artists 2 Artists...

SHURVON~ALICIA

How do you think others see you?
I am often told that I am a colorful person who is always smiling and trying to be somebody.
How do you see yourself?
I see myself as a child of God living in His universe as a black African-American lady with a soulful spirit of life.
How do you want to be seen?
As a fine arts visionary.

Shurvon~Shaynlicia, The Fine Arts Visionary!
The photo was taken while I was using a walking cane because I had broke my ankle.
However, if I had been one of the models selected to be in the Kehinde Wiley exhibit, I would have been wearing a fabulous dress like the one in my own personal painting that was inspired by his artwork.
